It's an annoying bug, without question. I have been a designer longer than some of you have been alive, that being said, the downgrade to 2024 is a great solution. I work on a Mac and find that if I leave a project open for prolonged periods of time, it triggers this bug. I save often and will restart photoshop when it shows up. I hate downgrading personally.

7 June 2023 I just had this problem of the Registration coming up every time I transferred an Image from BreezeBrowser to Photoshop CS2... Solved that by going to the Windows Key and Right Clicking on the CS2 line and selecting More... then selecting Run As Administrator. That works for Me with Win 10 . T.Connell, M.Photog, Cr. Retired

We wanted to update this thread that the issue was fixed with the release of 25.6. If you are still having this issue with the most recent Ps version, please start a new thread with your information so the team can investigate further.
Thanks,
Cory - Photoshop Product Manager

The screen shot you showed is the dialog box for saving as a Photoshop Cloud Document. It somehow got switched over to that. You always have the choice of saving either way, so even though it has been accidental up to now, you can control it. In the screen shot you posted, the way you would switch back to the standard Windows Save dialog box is to click the On Your Computer button. Once you do that, it stays that way until you switch it back.
To switch the other way (to save as a Photoshop Cloud Document), in the Windows Save dialog box click the button that says Save to Cloud Documents.
What could have happened is that a stray mouse click hit the Save to Cloud Documents buttton, so you unexpectedly ended up in the cloud-oriented Save dialog box.

Hello, although I agree with the desagrement to press K key at every next photo, I think we have to understand the way the brush works in recent LR versions : it creates a blank layer mask, and such layer mask cannot be automaticaly created when just selecting a new photo (the same with other tools related to layer masks). Brush tool is not just a "tool", it's a layer mask which can be modified with a brush. Compared to the white balance tool which does not rely on mask and is kept selected from a photo to another. It's a tool on its own, it does not create a layer mask. Hope that helps !

Thanks. I'll check that out when I have time. I've used them before, for older versions of Photoshop. Before everything went to Creative Cloud. It's not a major problem if I can't get them back on this computer. I may try Flex again later in the year, when they get a stable OS.

Another suggestion for overlaying small relative tonal tweaks: Tone Curve. This works independently of (and, on top of) Basic adjustments whatever those may be. You can apply, revisit, and perhaps later re-zero, a consistent adjustment across a whole batch of photos (e.g. using AutoSync) without touching their individualised Basic panel settings. So long as you are not already applying Tone Curve adjustments variably to these images, which would be disrupted. A similar idea might be done with a local adjustment, say a gradient filter set to cover the entire image area. That can be overlaid as a consistent adjustment "overlay" (more accurately, "underlay") onto many images whose other processing otherwise varies. Again, not so good if you are already using this tool onto these images.

We use memory cards as an easy way to move a small catalog of images from one computer to another. Usually when my boss edits a photo shoot, then gives it to me to do the final work.

Are you sure you are waiting long enough? It will not show up in CS6 instantly. I am on a Vista machine, and it takes a good 30 seconds after CS6 opens before the image appears. The rotating do-dad does not even show up for 15-20 seconds.

Hi, just FYI, iSCSI does not get involved in file-locking, that is a filesystem attribute. For those who don't remember, SCSI was a phyical bus standard for connecting block devices to a machine (or even machines), in the same way that (S)ATA is used today. Once the device was presented to a machine, the operating system dealt with creating a filesystem on top of it. The operating system is then responsible for creating locks if the filesystem supports it. iSCSI, replaces the local physical connection with logical networking but continues to use SCSI commands encapsulated in IP packets. The operating system still treats the device as a block device and is responsible for creating and using the filesystem. It is possible to connect multiple machines to a single iSCSI device but this requires a filesystem that supports sharing, such as GFS. Many machines format the device with a native filesystem, such as NTFS or ext2/3/4.

Lossless - Don't believe it. The articles I have read state otherwise. Although, they state it is negligible and you may not notice it. I am of the "old school" and do not like to compress, especially on important jobs. I am not concerned about space; just have to use more DVD's when archiving. Yes, using the convertor method is less convenient.

Because of that code, though, I have to pretty much click on the link and go see what else is in the thread. I see something I want to respond to, but I'm not going to hunt through thousands of emails to try and figure out which ones belong together. Catch-22: The code is there to allow email replies. But since the code makes email threading impossible, no one is going to reply by email. Ken Benson Can't they figure out how to hide the []'s and evrything in-between when sending out the notifications.
