Got it. Thank you for the response. Maybe someone with knowledge of UXP would help.

I am afraid Photoshop itself at least won’t be »it« and I am not sure any Adobe application would fit the requirement. Have you asked over on the Adobe Fresco Forum?
Have you seen any videos that show what you want to achieve done by someone else live?
On the one hand the process sounds like something fairly straightforward, on the other hand it sounds like something fairly »niche« …
The live-performance-aspect just doesn’t seem to chime with what most Adobe applications I am familiar with are targeted at.

JJMack's collage scripts do require a Background layer. He didn't explicitly state that this was required for the smart object scripts, however, it's a good place to start.
I figured the while-clause in the line of code in the original post would not terminate well if the lowest Layer was a Smart Object.

Has the limit of 1024x1024 been reduced lately? Normally I used the workaround that was shared in this thread, but since a couple of days that gives me blurry results. I had to downscale to generating at around 700x700px in order to get sharp results.

I suspect you might be better off creating or purchasing a Pattern and overlaying the structure over the painting. (Edit: with Blend Mode Linear Light or Overlay).

The image’s virus scan seems to have stalled.
As a work-around please try copying the gray channel into an empty CMYK image (of the correct CMYK Sapce) and placing that in Indesign.

Your graphics processor (GPU) isn't recognized at all by Photoshop. So Camera Raw won't run.
If you post the full Help > System Info from Photoshop, we can see your hardware configuration including which GPU you have.

@Sameer KI’m currently using Photoshop Version 26.4.1. The same issue occurs in other versions of Photoshop as well, so I can’t confirm whether rescaling the alpha channel has worked in the past. I only recently noticed this problem while working on some textures.

Are you referring to the comment on how the Mask was started?
If so keep in mind that how a Layer Mask will create »new« content (for example when the Layer is moved or transformed or the Canvas is extended) depend on its original creation.
• Adding a Layer Mask without a Selection in the Layers Panel will provide a white Layer Mask, filling or painting it black will hide the layer on the canvas but the Mask’s off-canvas-content is/will be white.
So moving it will result in white sections appearing – which may not be a problem in some cases, but in others (if the Layer itself has off-canvas-content, if resampling happens, …) it can cause unintended regions of the Layer to become visible.
• If a Layer Mask is based on a Selection its off-canvas-content will be black, so even if the Layer extends beyond the canvas and it is scaled no unintended regions should become visible.

What does »Updoot this man.« mean?
By @c.pfaffenbichler
I had to look this one up yesterday, CP!
"Updoot is a humorous internet slang for an upvote (or a “like”), which is a favorable rating a user gives to an online post or website."

I would say this is a bug with export as. I've never cared for that feature and still prefer to use save for web. Save for web was suppose to be removed, once Adobe got export as refined — doesn't look like that has hapened or will happe. Any time soon. It sounds like you need a workaround. I've been using Bridge's file export a lot, for multiple files. That way I often don't need to even open PS.

Hey, @simon28997170cvbr. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll help you figure this out.
The specific lens isn't supported, as per https://adobe.ly/4hrKqb8;
What format are the lens correction profiles you've received? You can follow this conversation to import Lens Profiles manually: https://adobe.ly/3FhpxCd
Let me know if it helps. Thanks! Sameer K

@c.pfaffenbichler "The neutrality is fairly assumed but the luminance may vary. "
oh, yes indeed. for sure
Using Lab would get around that RGB numbers issue - makes me think about what RGB Photoshop uses when setting the interface via the color picker as I described in the other post, I guess it's fair to presume it’s the default in Color Settings.

I don’t deny that AI-upscaling can produce impressive results (with the occasional unpleasant surprise).
But the recommendation still holds value:
Start with a properly dimensioned image.

For context, my work requires me to manually open a large amount of photos
By @noah_7511
Opening 170 files at the same time isn't a great workflow. If you must do this, you might find the following script to be useful:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/scripts-to-save-amp-restore-photoshop-sessions/m-p/14239969#U14946306
Depending on workflow and edits, if all of your images are in a single folder, a script might be better at opening them while keeping track of the next file/s to open.
https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/how-to-open-a-number-of-images-but-one-at-a-time/m-p/13804564#U15090907
P.S. Do you even need to open the files into Photoshop? Are they all in the same folder? Could Adobe Bridge be used to select and copy the files rather than opening them in Photoshop?

How about selecting the layers and converting them to a smart object, then using the Camera Raw filter as a smart filter.

Applying to a non-existent dataset will return [{}] in the result.
If you know the name of the dataset, you can determine whether it succeeded or was ignored by trying to apply it. In other words, it is possible to know indirectly whether the dataset exists or not.
If it succeeds, the result will look like this.
[
{
"_obj": "apply",
"_target": [
{
"_ref": "dataSetClass",
"_name": "set 1"
}
]
