Thank you Greg. I used your provided link to check on which programs I have installed. I found both Elements 10 and 13 were installed, as well as Lightroom 5. Premiere was the one I never had installed which makes sense as I did not shoot video. Really amazing. I did not know this info existed for customers. I also found a download button next to the serial number, (which checks out with my packaging). It would appear that I could download any of these 3 programs and install them right from that page (probably just Elements 13) on my current Laptop and not bother with the disks and upgrades. Is this correct? Thanks again, you are very helpful!

I was just starting out learning about post processing my images as I had been a long time enthusiast for decades - remmember Kodak instamatic 104 : ), and then migrated though film and a few digital cameras. I had Elements 8 or something around that time and later bought Premeire 10 and Elements 10. I also bought an Elements 13. Then I got sick for several years. Now I am better, retired, and back into photography. I want to get a taste of post processing with some simple adjustments - seems I am always wanting to lighten up dark areas mostly and perhaps sharpen, but not whole lote more for now. I would like to install these two older Adobe programs and experiment a little. In looking at the program materials I don't think they were ever installed and I have the disks and serial numbers. I am several computers later now so I cannot check. The Box just looks very new. (I think serial numbers are the activations codes back then.) So a few questions as I do not want to start to install them and then find out they don't work leaving things on the computer that are unessessarily taking up space. 1. The Premiere and Elements 10 are for Windows XP and Windoes 7 as well as Mac OS X. (I am using Windows.) Is this a problem since I have a 1 yr old windows 11? 2. Their are two Elements 13 Install disks - one Windows and One Mac. I think this is correct. But the Premiere and Elements 10 disks have 3 and are labeled 1 of 5, 2 of 5, and 4 of 5. It may be that 3 of 5 and 5 of 5 are just clip art and such, or were never rmeant to be in the box. I know this is probably a stumper, but then someone here or someone from Adobe may recall. Again I don't want to get a coupe of disks into the install and have it all come crashing down. Many thanks for anyone that can help. I Had Lightroom 5 too, but several years ago and I ended up only using a few lightening/darkening tools and saving the images to another storage. I am not interested in a subscrition just a program I can help some images look better after theya re out of the camera. Many thanks.

Well, thanks for trying to help me. I saw where Adobe support only helps with current versions and my PSE 10 is now one version back. I'd upgrade to the ver 11 but I think this problem would persist and I could not install it. I saw remnants of the 2 older versions I had on this machine as well when I was looking for ver 10 files to delete. I will have to find another way to do my projects Thanks Tom Barber tbarber.com Create Your Trading Plan Date: Tue, 17 Sep 2013 08:02:04 -0700 From: forums_noreply@adobe.com To: tombarber@outlook.com Subject: Photoshop Elements won't install and won't uninstall Re: Photoshop Elements won't install and won't uninstall created by Ankit Khurana in Downloading, Installing, Setting Up - View the full discussion Contact our Adobe support via http://www.adobe.com/support/download-install/supportinfo/, they will help you further. Could not understand that Admin account, but I was now able to delete all the PSE folders I had found and renamed (perhaps because I had renamed them before and whatever was preventing a delete was worked around), but then rebooting and trying another reinstall did not work. It keeps wanting to remove the existing installation and then I get "error 2343. no specified path" and the install process stops. There must be something the install routine keeps seeing to want to remove the program. Yet there is evidentially no path for the program to get to it. This 'path thing' may have been the original problem when elements organizer stopped working as I could not find it in windows control panel uninstall programs dialog box as it was not even listed. (my original problem was clicking on elements features and nothing happened), and I eventually got to trying to reinstall it. So I am now lost. Thanks for your message. Unfortunately, it did not work. I've renamed every folder I could find with a PSE reference to another name and will try reinstalling again in a few moments. Most of the folders and files would not let me delete them - so yet another thing in the way. Download our Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner tool: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html and see if it detects the software. If not then you can try any third party uninstaller available on the internet for free or else you can try and delete the product's files from the C drive. Thanks! Photoshop Elements 10 stopped working so I tried to re install. The new install routine keeps trying to uninstall the currently installed version and I get an error there is no path so it does not uninstall either. Since it won't uninstall it won't reinstall either. 10 hours on this and a day lost! There must be a program that searches out what the install program is seeing to want to unistall the curretn version first and delete the entries. After all this time trying to use the program set up to reinstall I tried manually deleting adobe program files and registry entries to see if I could get lucky - of course there is no luck with this stuff. So what to do. I want to reinstall the program and set up will not do so. What to do ????
