Yes, an option to defeat the restriction would definitely be useful, as many clients are delivering content online where the safe margins don't always apply. I have one client who wants their captions to be along a grey bar at the bottom.

The solve for me was to create a nest of my full sequence, and then toggle off all tracks except for captions. Then, paste back the other content and you can use "effects control" to adjust the nested clip (which contains the captions). You’re essentially nesting the captions so you can move them out of the captions track and onto a regular track so you can make use of the effects controls.

Figured out the problem: .mov will not pickup .MOV -- not sure how the files on one drive were capitalized???

I've relinked media successfully hundreds of times, but for some reason, this project will pick up the 'exact name match' for one clip, but then not relink the other media in the same folder with the corresponding name. Any idea as to why this is not working? Confirming that the file names are the same.

Right, that's why you "nest" it so the captions are in a nested clip NOT on a captions track. Then you can move them around. Just did this yesterday on PP 2021.

Right, but if you select the lowest centered block and then try to change the '0' to a lesser number (so as to shift the text lower in the frame, the new software limits how low you can go. I have a client who likes captions a tad bit lower than your example (set against a 50% opacity black bar). But I can't seem to find a way to get the text lower than the example shown in your pic.

I mean 'bottom' bottom. I have a client who likes captions lower than the example you have shown -- not much, but none the less, lower. In older version, you could move them to whereever you like. It seems that this new version has a limit as to how low they can go.

I can't seem to find a way to move the captions to the bottom of the screen in the most current version of PP 2021. The new subtitle track doesn't allow for 'motion' control in the EFFECTS PANEL, and the tools in the ESSENTIAL GRAPHICS panel don't allow you to move captions to the bottom of the screen. Any thoughts or workarounds?

PP CC 13.1.4 (build 2)
When changing a batch of clips shot at 59.97 to 40% duration, the thumbnails disappear. Any thoughts as to why this is happening? I'm sure it has something to do with the attached proxies. Previously, I would interpret footage to 23.976... but PP can't do this with proxies attached.

If I have a clip filmed at 59.94 and then interpret the footage as 23.98 to playback slow-mo, the original file plays back properly, but if I toggle on proxies, the proxy file does not. Any ideas what's causing the issue?

Worked with an adobe specialist over phone and gave them access to my computer. All they had to do was correct a systems file buried in adobe folder.

When I ingest footage and select "create proxies," encoder will transcode several clips successfully and then the application will freeze and stop responding along with PP CC.
