Hi Anubhav - Thank you for your reply... I found out that my keyboard short cut 'cmd+S' is missing since I updated to Illustrator 29.0...(!) This means that I apparently only saved the document when using 'save-as' og when I occasionally closed the file and clicked the 'save' button in the dialog. Then when the programme had a crash nothing was saved as I thought... I'm on Ventura 13.6.9/Illustrator 29.0 I really think this was what went wrong this time... Can't believe I didn't notice, but I have been working with Illustrator since before the Illustrator 88 and somethings are just muscle memory... ++michael

Hej Monika - Ohh Yes - Thank You very much - that has definetely something to do with it :·) I have AG Dynamic Sketch Plugin installed, and this still gives me different behavior on the two machines. Maybe it is an issue with the plugin - It works just fine with the native brush. Thanks again :·) ++m

I cannot fix the snap-to but, If you are done drawing the section you're working on, you can use this work around until you have a better solution. 1. select all, copy and paste behind/in place (to keep the original in case you need it later). 2. Then select all in the new layer - Expand (fill and stroke) and unite in pathfinder. 3. Then you can delete the points that are extending the shape past the line it intersects. This is old school method here, but it works.

Hi Michael: Based on my experiences with client changes, I would add more thing to Chad's answer: Create Body Indent first, and then base Body No Indent on Body Indent. This links the two styles together—Body Indent is the parent style and Body No Indent is the child style. If you get last-minute global update to the body paragraphs, i.e., change the leading for all body paragraphs, you can update Body Indent (parent) and the child style (Body No Indent) will pick up the same change. In a long document, this is a tremendous timesaver. ~Barb

Hi MichaelDomino, We apologize for the delay. Please read below, If you are still looking for the answer for this this question- Michael Domino I have a client who wants to have a fillable form for his staff to fill out on location - inset pictures and make comments on their ipad as they visit dealers. The form that has feature to fill out image, make comment and to be saved as a new file...can be created by your client using Acrobat DC.Edit images or objects in a PDF, Adobe Acrobat But, the staff who will be filling the form would not be able to complete all the required things using Adobe Reader on iPad. Because mobile app has certain limitations and it doesn't allow to insert the picture, though they can view it. Regards, Akanchha

I don't use a mouse at all. Just keyboard and pen. Having to switch between mouse and pen continuously would be a real hassle.

Hi, I'm currently using CC2014 on Windows 8.1 and have just started experiencing the exact same issue. I agree that it seems to be related to whether a dot or comma is used as a separator. If I manually type the stroke weight into the field using a dot, a 0.25pt stroke looks fine but if I use a comma or select 0,25pt from the dropdown it reverts to a 25pt line weight. As far as I'm aware, nothing else has changed on my PC. Do you have an update or resolution for this?

Any object you draw can be made turned into a Guide. Draw an object and with it selected go Menu>View>Guides>Make Guides. The object is now a guide. The color of Guides can be set in Menu>Illustrator>Preferences>Guides and Grids… Isolating guides onto their own layer is a good idea and you can even use these objects later in the artwork if need be by releasing them from being guides or copying them and releasing them form guides. The good thing about having objects as guides is you can snap to them or lock them, show or hide them. Use the same View>Guides menu to do these functions.
