@internetadraugi  Deciding which MacBook Pro to upgrade to can be tricky and since it's a big purchase there's always concern about what makes for the best choices based on how we work.   Since a maxed out Mac tends to be very, very expensive, I've leaned toward choosing options one step down from the maximum options for a work machine and one step up from the base options for a personal machine.  I think ArtIsRight provides a great in-depth look at the options.  M4 MAX is $500 Upgrade Worth it & Pro Photo & Video test on Every MAX from M1 MAX   I agree with his upgrade priority list: Memory (RAM) Chip Family SSD Storage Size Chip Varients   Coming from a base 16GB M1 Pro MacBook Pro, I'd look at the following configuration: 16-inch or 14-inch Nano-texture display Apple M4 Pro chip with 14‑core CPU, 20‑core GPU, 16‑core Neural Engine 48GB unified memory 1TB SSD storage minimum, 2TB is better, 4TB preferred if it works with your budget.   If budget is limited and going with the base 16-inch M4 MacBook Pro (so, not M4 Pro or M4 Max), I'd opt for Nano-texture display, 32GB RAM, 2TB Flash storage (the maximum options for the M4).   When it comes to being able to enable Preview from the Disk Cache goes, Puget Systems has a great article that takes a look at how this is working in the public beta of After Effects. Upcoming Boost to After Effects Preview Playback with RAM and Disk Cache Overall, users with less RAM but a good amount of disk storage should see longer (but not faster) Previews.  It's also looking like a higher-end After Effects workstation might be configured with 64GB or 96GB of RAM and 4TB Flash storage instead of going with 128GB of RAM and 2TB or more of Flash storage.         ... That confuses me even more now, because even when updating to newer versions I never displayed the in and outs of clips when dragging clips, so at first I had assumed that it was a keyboard shortcut that I hit while trying to type text so I kept searching for what I had turned on. It also caused only one layer to show in the program window when trimming (specifically the clip being trimmed). If it was a normal video it would hide any text and pngs that played over it and if I trimmed some text it would show nothing but the text box in the program window with a black background, or the transparent checkered background if i had that option on.  Turning composite Preview on still works the same, but how it work for me when I disabled it would just display the frame the playhead Is on while still updating if I dragged any clips onto the playhead regardless if they were in their own layer or trimming into another one.   I was in the middle of using v24.6.3 or premier pro when everything changed, I had already been using it for a couple of weeks before this happened as well.   ... @Picheal31395117dtgs  Thanks for sharing your thoughts.  Professional video post production is definately not something to jump into without some level of training or mentoring.  If a new user skips the Learn button on the Home screen or the Learning Workspace in the application or the Premiere Pro User Guide, it's easy to get lost.   Have you tried Premiere Elements or Premiere Rush?  Those are designed with hobbyists and pro-sumer in mind. A "reveal sequence" button is an interesting idea for Premiere Pro.  There's already "Search Bin from querry".  If we click that and search for "Sequence", Premiere Pro will quickly present each Sequence in the project.  The user guide provides instructions for this under Premiere Pro User Guide > Workspaces and Workflows > Search assets.   ... My favorite part of this bug is that now the glitches are moving! The pixelation is now appearing in different parts of the clip where they did not appear before.   This is so clearly an Adobe issue and still with no fix. This does not occur across any other programs or use cases. Frustrating.   The workaround is to transcode to Prores, but that's not really appreciated file size-wise. ... View more

Communicate directly with Adobe Premiere Pro  Video Product team!   Just saw an announcement on YouTube of an Adobe Live stream scheduled for 3/7/2025 at 9:30am PDT. It is titled "Meet the Adobe Video Product Team, Behind the Scenes & Beyond, with Kylee Pema and Francis Crossman". This would be a great time to hear directly from Adobe and give your direct feedback about the user interface font size problem and anything else you wish to give feedback about. FYI - If you aren't familiar with YouTube Live Streams, they are announced in advance, but usually the recorded version is kept online afterwards for viewing if you can't attend in real time. YouTube has a comments feature where you can post your comments and feedback.  In my experience, feedback is best given during the live stream, but you can also post comments to the recorded video if watch it later as a replay. YMMV how the participants or host of the live stream and video process comments, but definitely worth participating if you want to elevate the frustration with Adobe Premiere Pro user interface font size problems.
