I think this can and should be made MUCH clearer when prompting users to sign up on the mobile app. I think this is deceptive Marketing.

Experiencing the same here. I do a lot of photography of models and any that show skin (even photos from red carpets) are flagged by the AI as inappropriate. Male models with skin showing - inappropriate, even if wearing pants and a jacket over a bare chest. Not sure I want to pay for a tool that so severely restricts its own use and application - for ART and PHOTOGRAPHY! And blocking out the model to fix the surrounding environment/sky isn't helpful. The result is sky and lighting that's nothing like the model.

Explain what you're doing, step-by-step, or as @c.pfaffenbichler mentioned, post screenshots, so we can figure out what's going on. Are you typing any words in the generative fill when you're expanding?

Im in this same boat and idk what I did to fix it but now its back and I cant remember how did you find any solution to it. Ive tried every other thing imaginable and I don't wanna pay 30$ for a plugin just to help fix this

Are you using Mac or Windows?
What tablet are you using?
Are you using WinTab or Windows Ink?

If you are using Windows then Lazy Nezumi Pro does so much more than fix the shoelace artifacts. It has dozens of useful presets, has better smoothing than Photoshop and is the best value Photoshop plugin by a decent margin. Its worth does depend on the way you use Photoshop to be fair. If you are only optimising photographs then it is not so useful, but I have always thought that Photoshop is wasted on Photographers. If, on the other hand, you do any sort of illustration, photo manipulation or digital art, then LNP is a total no brainer. Blimey. I just checked and it is now US$60! That's twice what I paid for it, but still represents good value.

No real resolution. I was just told that it's a feature. There is a work around in that it only toggles when you are using the selection tool so if you want to use your short cuts select some other tool. Very bothersome and I wish it would magically revert back to the way it was.

@roberts33286217 Do you have any file share service like Google drive or anything else?
You also mentioned some were ~5 or 7 megs, perhaps attaching those might work here in the forums?
Regards,
PG

Elliminating LRC from the equation helps.
There is an option in LR to save copies locally so it's possible you had 30K uploaded in the cloud and copies on your hard drive as well, seperate files.
They were trying to the sync the photos through the browser? what the what... yeah, I think this is where everything went wrong. Do you know how many files you had in the cloud before they started this process?
100GB isn't much space and 30K images could easily take up 150GB. I have 22K files in the cloud and I'm using over 351GB of space. So I don't think they were all in the cloud to begin with. How they were trying to sync them is beyond me.
Sounds like those 2 turkeys deleted your images from your external drive. You might try and get the repair guy to pay to try and recover the external drive.
I'm sorry I don't have better news for you.

You can edit the images from your external on your iPad, the issue is that those images are uploaded to the cloud and the edits are not saved to the images on the HD but to the images in the cloud. This is a feature I and many others would like to see - to be able to edit the images on the HD itself on the iPad. I've added it to an existing feature request. I had a student I helped with this same exact workflow last week.
I recommend you upload your images to LR. I use my phone and LR on my phone set to automatically import all images from my camera roll. Get the images uploaded to the cloud, do your edits on the iPad and then you simply sync to LR Classic. When you sync, the originals are downloaded to your preferred location. Some will stay in the cloud, some will be just the smart previews - it's based on how much space you have in the cloud - smart previews don't count against you. But, you will see all originals downloaded. You set up where they download in the LRC preferences. I have mine sorted by decades so I only need to update the location every 10 years.
Hopefully that makes sense, if you have more questions, ask.

I would like to be able to edit images from my external HD on my iPad WITHOUT having to import them / upload to the cloud. I want the edits to write to the hard drive, the same way it works on the Desktop. There are others in the community that have expressed this, I have private students that would like this as well. It would be great if there was a local tab to make it super simple.

It looks like a trasparent brush. Set your brush transparency in the options bar. You can also create the brush to fade out in the brushes panel.

I guess it depends on how you have your screen set up. It doesn't bother me and I never noticed it before. If you have your properties panel open all the time and large enough, you shouldn't have to scroll at all.

A custom script for Bridge or Photoshop could be used to rename above and beyond what Bridge's Batch Rename tool offers. I'd need some real examples of the before and after filenames to see what's possible if needed.
