Hello, I have the exact same problem with my cursor disappearing with each strokes of my paint tools.   When I use "F" or "Tab" to show photoshop in fullscreen modes, the issue is still here, but not at each strokes, and if I don't paint too quickly, it does not have any issues.   When I come back to the photoshop's normal appearance, i found that when I hide some panels, the ones that requires photoshop to update/refresh the UI at each strokes (specifically histogram panel), the issue is less present. It's like there is a connection between the refresh of the UI, and the refresh of the cursor. And if the UI is "slow" to be refreshed, then the cursor too.   When I activate the tiny cursor display (capslock key activated), the cursor doesn't disappear as it does when the cursor has his normal display (capslock key deactivated).   In the Preferences > Cursors, when i tick "show only crosshair while painting", the issue is less present too. I tried doing what Chad Rolfs suggested, but my "Save" actionstep STILl says "without ICC profiles".  Horrible, being up agaist a readline of delivering thousands of files that would need to be batch processed out with profiles.   Photoshop versions past 24.0.1, including the latest 24.3, are breaking my Actions and Scripts that batch save PNGs (Save as a copy) that are supposed to keep the color profiles embedded. Each time I run an action or script, the first PNG keeps the color profile embedded, but all subsequent PNGs save out "untagged".   One weird exception: I have one Action which saves out a PSD and PNG from each file with color profiles embedded. The original action saved out the PSDs first and then the PNGs. This was the first time I noticed the bug. I tried switching the order in the action to save out the PNGs first, then the PSDs, and the bug no longer occurred. Not sure why, but I wanted to pass that along.   All other scripts which save out (not export) PNGs have this bug. We cannot update until this gets fixed. For batching via Actions/scripts, you can use a special gestalt that forces color profile output.  Put the following string into a text file called PSUserConfig.txt (and put it in the Adobe Photoshop 2024 Settings folder): BatchForcePNGColorProfile 1 Then relaunch Photoshop, go to Help > System Info... and confirm you see PSUserConfig entries: - U BatchForcePNGColorProfile 1   2. You may need to re-record older Actions, specifically the Save PNG step. To determine whether this applies your Action, open the Save step and look at the bottom for "With ICC Profiles". If you don't see that, you need to record the step again to include that option. I tried using the PSUserConfig.txt way to force PS not to use Windows Ink but no change... But I found another interesting thing. If I turn off the button on the toolbar that says "Always use pressure for size" I don't get these hangs and the memory climbing until all the Ram on the pc is used. So I can't use pen pressure but that's kinda the point of using a pen, to be able to use pressure and tilt.  ... View more

Maybe i'm wrong somewhere, you can try on the .psd ! By @benj_v   As already outlined, the PSD proves nothing that's required for the Adobe team to take such a request seriously. That is, proof of concept of banding (outside the display path, which IS common) that is solely due to the filters used on that lower bit depth.  Yes, the PSD is a mess. Yes, it's super noisy, and yes, you must view this at 100% (1:1), and you must do so on a fully high-bit display path to stop seeing banding in high-bit data that doesn't exist there (but in the display path).  Here is your high-bit document, with (again) a filter that is supported for that high bit depth, producing tons of banding:  16-bits and banding ... @Chris Cox • , May 15, 2010 I've been having the same problem. In fact the Space bar entirely ceased to function in Photoshop (Mac OS) with scrolling also. Resetting "OS shortcuts in System Preferences, under Keyboard Shortcut settings, and Universal Access." worked the second time I tried it, though in my case it was under System Preferences/ Accessibility/ Keyboard/ Navigation/ Enable Full Keyboard Access. I unchecked it, powered down my mac, restarted resetting the PRAM:  Press the power button, and as soon as you power up the laptop, hold down Command-Option-P-R. Keep holding down those keys for about 20 seconds. Then let go and allow your Mac to continue starting normally. If you have an older Mac that chimes at boot, hold down the keys until you hear a second startup chime.  This seems to have worked for me on the second go trying. Everything back to normal in Photoshop now with the space bar operative. No idea how this worked though. ... View more

In PS, the tool "select > color range" and "sampled colors" in use, is doing near exactly that internally. When you use the sampler (+ / -), it corrects the "internal sliders" of each componant (HSL) in a basic way, and in a way we can't controle enough. The tool asked in this topic is something I'm waiting too since years on my side too. Because having control of every steps of "colors selection" with HSL, is a way to have a controlled "color correction" on the image, and this kind of  "color selection" precision is nowhere in PS. If I use windows ink, the strokes works as intended, even if I change colors. But I can't do right click with a pen button on a Layer for example. In desktop or other software, right-click works, in photoshop, it doesn't. So I stay with disabled windows ink and PSUserconfig and right click is fine. Nice suggestion, I have voted.   The Properties panel is an obvious place to show this. There is text for "Transform", this could even be updated to Show "Transform (Applied)" if there was a SO transformation active.   It may be possible to identify via scripting as there is a stringIDToTypeID( "placedLayerResetTransforms" ) property.   EDIT: I have never taken note, however, whether or not there is a transform applied, the Properties panel button to reset transformations is active and clickable whether or not there is a transform applied! Hi! I have version 22.43 and there's still no fix for the unwanted zoom-to-layer content. Please, I really don't want this feature. Just let me know how I can turn it off, please! I've checked "Known Issues" and it's not in there. What separates Mac and Windows here is that Mac OS performs all actual color management transforms on OS level. It's called by the application, but executed by the OS. Windows, by contrast, leaves it all to the application and steps back. It makes profiles available as applications request them, but doesn't do anything with them. The application converts, with application code. The Mac model is fine as long as it works, but it introduces an extra level where bugs can happen. And they do. So whatever ColorNavigator bug is there, it apparently doesn't get to do much damage in Windows, but on Mac it's enough to trip the whole thing up. Mac/Eizo users might want to see if there's an Eizo forum for ColorNavigator, and see what feedback they get there. I can't do it, since I'm on Windows and can't reproduce it. ... View more
