In Design view when I use the paste command, a file copy is created in the folder for the page i am working on and no text is pasted.  .  I need to somehow change the select setting because it is selecting the entire page file for copy and pasting.   Any Ideas would be a big help.  Thanks

But the question is still shown as Not Answered

Edit: it now shows as Possibly Answered.

Claudio

At least 50% of forum users don't bother to use that facility. Some thank you but don't mark it as answered and others just disappear without a word.

In any case, it's another meaningless (and sometimes misleading) feature that needs to be eliminated.

'Possibly answered' appears when anyone replies, regardless of what they say.

Yes, JJ - I'm a bit embarrassed to say I've started feeling a bit miffed at that - help, I'm being absorbed

Don't be!

Anyway, it was long pointed out that the 'Answered' feature can in many cases be misleading. Apart from the fact that the OP, who nine times out of ten is a newbie or near newbie and in no way fit to really judge the effectiveness/accuracy of the answer, it often precludes other solutions or workarounds that may be as effective or even more effective.

I've also seen people being rebuked for posting in a thread that is 'answered' and told to start a new one, when their post is still on topic.

Another reason to ban this idiotic 'Answered' crap as well as the point system.
