Community Release Notes - Feb/3/2021

Hi Everyone,

Adobe Support Community has released several major enhancements and bug fixes today. In this release, we updated the nested reply view on conversation page to eliminate thread limits set originally on each level of reply, as well as adding quoting capability in the rich text editor for replies. Users will also have the ability to attach files on the reply level. For community operation, we have also removed the reference for flash player form the related community list and retired Aero community board.

Enhancements

• Nested reply view
• Default at 25 posts per page regardless of leveling
• Ability to change number of posts shown per page via Account Settings -> Preferences (3-201 threads)
• Quoting capability
• Quote the entire message on all levels of replies
• Ability to edit/delete part of the quoted texts in rich text editor
• Quotes will be displayed in dark grey italic styling
• @user mention the author of the original quote
• Ability to attach files in all levels of replies
• Tagging the original poster throughout the conversation page and its replies
• Various performance enhancements on the platform

Bug Fixes 

• Correct answer along with its author name was not displayed correctly for a conversation
• Replies were missing in the nested view
• User strip/name was not being displayed next to the profile avatar.
• Attachment button was broken while posting a reply on the conversation page
• Recommendation toggle remains "On" and shows conversations that are not supposed to be part of the recommended conversations when the page number is manually changed in the URL

Other

• Tuned-off Aero board from the community
• With Flash Player’s EOL, removed reference for the Adobe flash player from the list of related communities

Dear Adobe,

is there a way you could possibly reduce the frequency of updates? It can be accessive and interferes with our workflow having so many updates. I understand and appreciate the "fixes" but value not having to update on a bi monthly basis.
