Forum privacy settings

I don't know which forum to post this in (is there even a forum for the forums?) so I'm going with here.

When I change my privacy so that registered users can see my real name, as opposed to just my screen name, it saves but if I leave the forums it reverts back to being 'yourself.' I've done this a few times now and it never stays saved.
