Why, when using the forum, does it always jump back to page one when I use the back button on Internet Explorer when I have just read a topic on any higher page?

That is not a forum problem, but an IE idiosyncrasy.

You mean to say that Firefox has learned that behaviour from IE...?

Richard,
To stay on the same "page," in the multi-page forum list, use the marked link:
Note: if you Reply to a post, you will end up on Page 1, as that thread will update.
If you only read, just use that link, and you stay on the same page, that you were on.
Good luck,
Hunt

A new version of Jive (4.5) will be out in a few weeks and it will fix this forum glitch.

"few weeks"? I thought in a few days time. September is just round the corner. Also, it might fix the "current" forum glitch but it might introduce new glitches of its own.

JTANNA,
September is just round the corner.
September is all the way from the 1st to the 30th. I believe it is up to John to say when.

Likely John will only be able to tell us when. I don't believe the Jive forums were John's choice. Meaning the decision was made a level or two higher than where he sits in the Adobe food chain. So my guess is that exactly when the upgrade will happen is also beyond his actual control.
Cheers... Rick

Rick,
I would make the same speculation. John will say, "OK, good to go," and then someone else will decide when to "pull the trigger."
Here is hoping that we all just love, love, love it...
Fingers X'ed here,
