Why is the german forum ( http://forums.adobe.com/community/international_forums/deutsche ) blocked?

There was a large spam run on that forum yesterday that was rather

persistent to the point where it clearly affected the stability and

performance of the forums. But since everything is cleaned up now I

expect the forum to be available soon.

I wonder how soon is "soon". I have just clicked on that link and received an Unauthorized error message.

Also, I find it curious that, of the forums I frequent, only the Adobe ones seem to be frequently crippled by spam attacks...

Addition: when I posted the above message, both previous ones had times after 5 AM local, and mine was posted at 11:21 AM local. Immediately after posting, these times changed to after 7 AM local for the previous ones, and to 10:21 AM for mine, although now mine is shown at 8:21 local time!!! It is true that our country has temporarily postponed the end of DST, but I would expect this to produce at most a constant time difference.

New addition: I have just checked, and messages posted in other (non Adobe) forums are displayed correctly.

Maybe they need to use a product such as Spam Assassin on the Main Servers. or add Barracuda Firewall software.

I thought it was clear that you hadn't solved the problem single handed. My "good job" included everyone who participated in the task, with or without names.

Doesn't this forum software have some sort of "flood control"; i.e. limiting user posts to a specified frequency?  Or IP address (range) ban?
