The very best wishes to everyone on this short and rather dark day of sun.
Light will grow again from this day on, up here in the northern half, and light will start to wane in the southern half.
Many important celebrations will occur over the next quarter, including New Year for most (of those without a wandering one).

My very best wishes to all the nice people around here, and their beloved ones. Most specialy, to all those anonymous persons who bravely fought the unequal fight against the massive spam attack, ans won it.

so how's 2013 treating you so far?
Early day(s), but over here we miss the snow. It seems that all of it har fallen over there. We only had it for a week or two in early December.
It is far too warm, what would be suitable two months earlier or later. Hopefully a continuation of that is not the treat of 2013.

Almost halfway through the most thoroughly celebrated new year (second or third most populous (primary) new year), the day when everyone grows one year older.

These days many (still) celebrate one of the oldest, the New (Year's) Day, from long before someone started messing with the calendar used by most by prefixing a few months leading to inconsistent names of months and moving the new year away from this season to its present strange place.
