We're seeing a messge in the browser of "Waiting for wwwimages.adobe.com..." occassionally when we're launching an internal enterprise Flex application.

Checking several of the links on that site, including http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/ubi/template/identity/lib/swfobject.add on.js and http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/lib/com.adobe/urlParser.js, most do not contain Adobe copyright statements or anything truly indicating this is a valid site. One file, http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/ubi/template/identity/adobe.js, does have a copyrigfht notice from 2001, but it's half way down the file, not at the top.

The site is registered to Akamai Technologies, which is a cloud provider. I just got off the phone with Adobe; they confirmed it's not a site they own. If you goodle "wwwimages.adobe.com" threat, you'll see that files from this server are associated with a number of trojans.

I'm concerned that we have malware installed that's not being detected by our enterprise virus tools.

Does anyone know if this is a legitimate site?

Thanks.

Larry

That (wwwimages.adobe.com) is a web content management system (WCMS) where images for the Adobe web site are stored. That is where we pull the product icons from that you see on various forum pages. The Adobe.com site uses it for serving a number of items.
