Little Numbers on User Badges?

Explorer ,
Dec 24, 2022 Dec 24, 2022

See the attached screenshot.  Two of the badges have numbers in little gray circles attached to the badge.  What do these numbers mean?

I suppose the tiny numbers correlate with the badge name in some way.  In my case, almost all badges have tiny numbers -- i.e. 5K Savant (5k),  1K Problem Solver (1K), Solution Century (100) and so on...  Beyond that, I don't think it has much significance. As far as I'm concerned, badges are just eye candy.   The more you participate, the more badges you accrue.

Anyway, hope that helps.

@Nancy OSheaThank you for your reply.  By the way, I celebrate Hanukkah.

While I appreciate your point of view about the badges being "eye candy," I ask because I'm looking for information.
