New CS5 install vexing my Quicktime

I just purchased and installed CS5 Production Premium but now Quicktime is not running correctly.  Symptom: say if I go to YouTube, the clips don't appear, just the audio, and the toolbar does not show all items.  If I click on the blank picture, the clip plays in full-frame only.  On other sites, clips do not even show up as full-frame, but audio is okay.

I'm running a mac clone: plenty of power and storage.  OS 10.5.8.  I updated my Mac software, but did not cure it.

Any suggestions?

Most likely this has nothing to do with either CS5 nor Quicktime; it is possibly a Flash Player issue. (AFAIK CS5 was released with a beta version of FP 10.1)
