No way, apparently, to edit after posting!

This is rather annoying.  After I posted on one of the Forums, I thought of a better word for the title of the post.  A word that would not only make my topic more clear, it also might make it easier for others to find the post, when searching.  As such, I see the inability [or the extreme hiding of this ability] as a deficit. 

Also, it would be nice to be able to correct typos discovered after posting!

We see this complaint a lot, unfortunately.  The reason new forum members can't edit posts from the start is due to past abuses by spammers.  As you participate more here, you'll earn a higher badge status which allows you to edit your posts.  Until then, you can't.

A moderator can change the subject line and correct typos for you. They won't change content. The decision not to allow edits was made by staff after some "bad apples" abused the system.
