This is a totally useless feature and it's and absolute nuisance to see this "communication" so darned often.

Am i missing a setting or option to turn this off permanently somewhere?

As a matter of fact are there any "forum preferences" anymore?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks.

I'll just keep ignoring that thing rather than wade through the mountains of verbiage in those links.  Thanks for pointing them out, but now I'm sorry I asked.

It is silly and The part about following is as well. Have we turned into Facebook? As for the acclaim ever since the new system came on line I only need 1 point to go to next level. And I know I've had several answers to Mac acrobat questions to get past the 1 point.

station,

I would have said that the safest way would be to make silly posts rather than useful ones.

But however silly I am, I still get some.

In answer to the original question you cannot prevent the "Acclaim" messages from appearing in your Inbox stream, but you can stop them generating emails by following the instructions in the User Manual.

Also, all these posts marked as 'helpful' or 'correct' are really useless, and just fill up the Inbox!

IMHO the point system should be abandoned completely. It makes no sense

at all whether somebody has 30,000 points or 100 points. People on these

forums, especially DW and PSE, generally go by the names, NOT by looking

at the points. All they want is quick solutions whoever gives them.

The points system can't be turned off, only the "star ratings" tool (which is rarely used, but isn't annoying anyone yet )
