Post in the wrong forum

The following Post, relating to Photoshop, for some mysterious reason ended up in the Dreamweaver forum:

This is not a bug, but a feature. This is part of a new experimental help system. If a question is not adequately answered in the forum it is asked. The system picks a random forum to repost the thread in case anyone there knows the answer. ... Then again perhaps it is a bug.

That thread was started in the Dreamweaver Forum back in 2006. It was never in the Photoshop Forum until now, because someone moved it. I don't know if it popped up to the top of the list because it got a reply or because it was moved. Either of those actions would move it up in the list.

How weird. I moved my cursor over that image, without clicking, and found myself in Acrobat Connect Pro, looking at a question about Dreamweaver. The world has gorn maaaad!

The other strange part was that though there were replies dated 12/5 or 5/12 as the West Atlantics like to put it , there was no way to reply to the thread... meaning the Reply button was nowhere in sight.

Again, that's only a small fraction of "your West Atlantics".  Ibero-Americans do not follow USA-Americans practices when writing dates.

The concept of how dates were handled, words, spelled units of measure, even to pass by on right hand side, goes back as far as the Revolutionary War (as its called in USA). At the time The Americans had such as distaste for anything British, that they chose what what side they walked, rode, drove on, units of measure, word spellings and meanings; to reflect not hold favor with the British. Long after the dis-taste for the British passed it just became custom.

As an American, I find the concept of driving on the left dangerous and weired. Courios thing though in America we drive on right but, the steering wheel is placed on left so we can see the center lines of the roads we Drive on. That the rest of the folks in the world That drive on the left, have the Steering wheel on Right to see the center line of the road we drive on. Its neither right or wrong, just different.

I suppose the postal vehicles in the countries, that Drive on left have steering on Left , Just like in US Postal Vehicles have steering on Right. Why? to make it to put mail in the mailbox without having to get out of Vehicle.

AFAIK, all vehicles made in / for countries that drive on the left, have the steering wheel located on the right. Postal vehicles are no exception. And why would postal vehicles be putting mail in mail boxes? They'd be taking them out of the mail box...

In the US the postal service takes out, outgoing mail and puts in incoming mail.

A mail box or Post box is where you put your mail you are sending.

a letter box is usually in the front door and driving up to most front doors to deliver the mail would not go over too well.

We are sort of getting far a field of the topic I'll make one last comment about this only  explain rather than arguing.

In the US you have three methods of getting Mail.

1) you have a mail box attached to your house. The postman gets out of the truck, with a bag of mail and carries to your house and drops incoming mail into box after removing outgoing mail.

2) You have a Mailbox that is attached to some type of post at the edge of the Property next to the Road. The postman drives up next to you box, stops, reaches back get your mail incoming mail, after opening your box. If you have out going mail you raise the flag attached to the box. to signify you have out going Mail. In that Case he takes out outgoing mail first before putting in incoming mail and lowering the Flag.

3) You go to Post office and remove you mail from box you pay monthly rental. And put your outgoing mail.  If Post office is closed due to inclement weather, you can't get your mail. And you have to go out every day get in your vehicle , crank up, go get your mail, even if you have no other plans to go out.

Philip, thanks... that explains it... In our part of the world, the postman only delivers mail... he doesn't collect it. As Buko said, for that we drop the mail in a mail box or post box.

Why somebody sudenly replied to this thread is one thing, but the Jive (or Adobe Forum) acton of dumping you in a different forum after login from one you were just in may be part to blame.

Users need to pay attention to where the servers land them imediately after one of their many re-logins!
