quoted replies via email turn up blank

whenever i use tbird to quote a posting, that reply always turns up blank in the forums. big time bug (well that and the fact that you can't thread email at all & oh yeah, no NTTP).

Avoid:

- lines with 5 consecutive underscores;

- lines with 5 consecutive hyphens;

- lines ending in "wrote:".
