Some threads never appear on InDesign forum's list of threads

I noticed a strange thing:

Sometimes I receive an email notification regarding a message in a thread I'm participating in. However, the thread itself doesn't appear on the InDesign forum anymore. That is, it doesn't appear here:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign/ct-p/ct-indesign?page=1&sort=latest_replies&lang=all&tabid=a...

For example, this post:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/changing-linked-color-photos-to-grayscale-or-duo...

It's nowhere on the list of forum's threads anymore. At least not among January 11 posts. Obviously, the thread was there at some point as I did post replies to this thread.

It doesn't happen too often. But I do notice this couple times a month maybe.

If this bug only affects threads I'm already participating in, then it's not a big deal as I do receive notifications. However, if some threads simply never appear on the forum for some users and therefore can never be seen, then it's naturally a bigger issue.

ok thanks for finding it. then it's, obviously, in the wrong place.

so the problem should be rephrased as:

When the InDesign forum is sorted by Latest, some threads don't appear where they're expected to appear.

I guess they get stuck among the threads of the thread's creation date, instead of being moved to the date of the last reply?

ok looks like other forums have similar issues recently:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/back-room-bugs/photoshop-forum-not-updating-correctly/idi-p/15068948

i do see the same issue reported in the above thread on InDesign forum, too, once in a while. i guess it's part of the same problem.

it might be helpful to add the indesign forum to that thread.

It may have been resurrected by a spam or ChatGPT bot which is why you got notified.

But when it was flagged for Spam Abuse, it dropped back down the nether-world where it came from.

For this and other reasons, I turned off forum email notifications from my account settings and never looked back.

that doesn't apply in this situation.  a community expert replied on 1/11/25 in that thread.
