The joys of Jive

In the latest reincarnation, after days of

lousy response, inserting returns in lines on it's ow

n volition, it also inse

rts a lot of crap in quotes, it no longer allows the upload of image

s that were allowed a few days ago, but are not longer accepted,

the insertion of God knows how much crap in the HTML code, this looks like a major catastrophe. Not only user names were modified, sometimes beyond recognition, threads disappeared, the search function that does anything BUT search, but not being able to post normal content and screenshots is a major handicap.

Adobe, get your act together and get us some forum software that works!

You forgot that the logout option is missing in action too. Log out

, close the browser (this carriage return problem too)

and then come back. Your still logged in and the option to log out at the top is missing.

Sweet.

Post # 12 is a prime example of the crap inserted in quotes:

When you open HTML view it is even worse. It looks like:

You quoted the whole message. I copied just your

When you posted you had a smaller window with a link. So I went to your link then came back and your post had grown to what I quoted. That is what you mean, correct?

This return carriage problem is driving me up a tree.

I mean this crap in the HTML view, that is repeated a number of t

imes without value added:

id="function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}" lang="function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}" onclick="function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}" onmousedown="function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}" title="function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}">

This return carriage problem is driving me up a tree.

That seems to happen to me about 1:3 replies. Just happened in this line.

Sweet.

There is this new FAQ about the logout problem:

http://forums.adobe.com/thread/525685?tstart=0

and here is my variation taking into account the fact that I had no Sign Out button: 31.

Harm,

Your experiences mirror mine in all respects.

With the exception of the loss of the "camera" icon, I can work around the rest. I have found that if I log-in from the Adobe.com screen to my old screen name/account and navigate to the fora, things work OK. I also seem to stay logged-in longer. I was 4 hours, almost on the dot, but now seems to be ~12.

Block quotes just take several goes and Ctrl+Z's to get it to work, and the hard returns issue only happens (to me) once per reply.

The Attach File on the bottom still works, but I cannot use the camera, even on 40x40 JPEG's, or PNG's. Maybe soon?

We'll find ways to get by, but it's not a good sign in my book.

Now, if I can just find my missing Adobe product registrations...
