Thumbs down?!?

It's the new world where Marketing reigns supreme and everything is new and improved!  Nothing is bad.  Everything starts at awesome and just goes up from there.

Shame on you for wanting to dis some IQ 68 moron who can't figure out how to find a file in a folder on his computer!

The dropdown list doesn't offer me any thumb, up or down. I miss them both.

You don't have something like this?

Yes, but I have never used it because I always thought (and still think) that it is linked to one of the social channels...

Not necessarily that specific one, but one of those, which I refuse to use.

Claudio, like you I'm allergic to facebook, twitter, etc.

Did you know you can block any and all connections between your computer and those sites?  Just add lines to your hosts file, and from then on all your browsers and any other application that tries to access these domains will just abort any connections attempted to those sites...  For example:

0.0.0.0  facebook.net

0.0.0.0  connect.facebook.net

0.0.0.0  facebook.com

0.0.0.0  www.facebook.com

0.0.0.0  static.ak.facebook.com

0.0.0.0  s-static.ak.facebook.com

0.0.0.0  twitter.net

0.0.0.0  twitter.com

0.0.0.0  www.twitter.com

Noel, thanks for your advise, but it is well above my head. Unfortunately, I have no idea about how to implement your instructions. And I have a feeling that I am not alone in my ignorance... Been a highly qualified expert on Photoshop or whatever does not guarantee that one is also an an expert on IT.

See this site for a description of what a hosts file modification can do for you:

Blocking Unwanted Connections with a Hosts File

It's actually a little-known secret that can vastly improve system security.
