What language is this?

Everyday at night I see something like this in these forums:

I simply can't understand why is it that the Month is in some different language.  My browser and my system is based on UK English but this is really driving me crasy because I tend to look at date/time whenever I post and this doesn't make sense.

No, it's Ukrainian language.

"груд" is a short of "грудень" - december in english.

I think you have choose it somewhere in the settings by mistake, because Ukrainian often marked as "Uk" (while should be "Ua"), so you may think this is United Kingdom English, while it is not.

Just like Latin script is used for a multitude of languages from Latin through English, Spanish, German, French, etc., Cyrillic characters are used in a variety of languages, from Russian through Ukrainian to Bulgarian.

All I did is point out that груд means piles in Russian.  There was no implication in my post that such a meaning will cover the word in other languages that use Cyrillic.  December in Russian is декабрь.

I'll gladly take cppasm's word for the Ukrainian meaning of груд.

Perhaps I should have used a sarcasm emoticon myself, Claudio.  I was also jesting. 

Incidentally, the latest language classification now puts Spanish second only to Mandarin in the ranking of languages with the most speakers:
