Any stats? I would be curious how many people have left these forums. How are they doing? 😉

When I grew up the only fish I had a friends were goldfish  bought from the W.T. Grant  store. (they were similar to a 5 & 10¢ store, and they sold live gold fish).

If you caught Trout , Sucker, Catfish, Carp, eel, and they could be properly dressed and cooked they were ate.

They is a type of fish found in some rivers, creeks and branches called eels they looke similar to electric an Morey ( Moray?) eels but  not related. They were skinned and fried like Catfish and tasted about the same, they were caught by reaching under rocks in the water feeling real careful and grabing behind the head, they had stinger whiskers like a catfish and sting was usually as painful as a yellow Jacket  Sting ( according to my dad).

People are just sitting around chatting amongst themselves while they wait for something to happen. Bound to get a bit surreal from time to time

Exactlly!! They are. shows we all go off the deep end now and then.

Just think to the time when they get this sysytem running like a well oil machine. There is none of the day to day problems. Just an ocassional system slow down like use to be complained about in the old WebX system.

People have just overlooked the point system and not used it rather than complain about it. They decided finally to untie the sign in system and allow permanet cookies that will last 15-30 years (and admit it was a dumb idea). everyone decided if a newbie comes in to either point them to right direction without biting their head off. Or they decide since they have nothing better to do to go ahead and try to give a short answer, but point to proper forum for more detailed answer. Adobe is finally talked in creating a general Forum for everyone no specifically for photography types. Wher we all can let out hair down if we have any and talk about anything.

We finally decide just because someone doesn't have the same PhD, education, or expertise, not ridiculing them, for trying to help.

Then we would have to go off the deep end here. and it can be cold and medicine like just like people want it here in this particular forum.

Sung by Simon Gilbert in the movie...

"...eventually Simon Gilbert was selected as the singing voice of Don Quixote, because his singing voice sounded the most like O'Toole's speaking voice."

It does sound like O'Toole. I didn't realize that was not his voice until

researching the movie years later.

Your reply was pointing to SDA Cindy.  I thought he was being sarcastic but now I'm just confused.

These forums turned into nothing but a cliquish hangout for people that have a sense of entitlement. No corporation wants that as a public face when you're trying to appeal to new users.

I can only guess that you have not been around the Adobe fora for very long. It says "2007," but I wonder how many of the fora you have actually participated in.

Those self-entitled people, of whom you speak, have helped so many thousands of users solve their problems. For Adobe, these fora suppliment the manuals (if they still do those with newer programs), the Help files, and also TS. Matter-of-fact, many of those people, that you seem to wish to denegrate, have probably helped more, that TS has, over the same time span. Adobe realizes the benefit of these fora, and hence they support them.

How many threads have you read, where some user talks of all the money and time with TS, only to get "uninstall - reinstall," if they are even able to understand those words? Usually, they are helped within a few posts in the fora. How many threads have you read, that were quite old, but a new user posts, "hey, this solved my exact problem! Thanks?" How many threads have you read, where specific hardware issues have been handled - issues that TS would not touch, as the equipment was not certified, or part of the TS test facility?

Next to "uninstall - reinstall," the next most often phrase from TS is, "maybe you can post to the forum and get an answer."

There are "Lounges" in many of the fora. This is where the only cliquishness, that I see exists, and it's all in good fun. When "play time" is over, they just file out of the lounge and go help people solve their problems - for free!

Either your observations and conclusions are just diametrically opposed to mine, or that you have yet to spend enough time in the various fora.

And PJ, what does this have to do with the title of the thread?

and did you see who my reply was added to. Ramon noting a problem he was runing into (causing him aggravation which contributed to his grumpiness - my perception) I just added another reason for people to be grumpy and leave - new bug.
