It means next to nothing. That + $2.75 will get you a one-way trip on the New York subway.

I don't mind paying $2.75 for a trip to New York 😄 That isn't bad considering I am in the UK. Wish someone would have mentioned this before Adobe MAX. lol.

Sorry, you misread: it's not a trip TO New York. And Max is in Los Angeles... 😛

I didn't misread the comment @Abambo. It was a joke. And obviously MAX is a lot closer to NY than it is to the UK so travel costs are drastically lower, meaning I would be a lot more able to get there. Sorry. Maybe I was too subtle with the humour there. lol.

May be your British humor is not good enough for my Continental humor... 😉

I think it's cheaper to fly direct from LHR to LAX, don't ask me why. 😕

At Digital Equipment they had a phrase in the 90s: "Just to confuse the Russians!" I think, we can use this again, to explain the unexplainable.

A single ride on a NY subway (aka Metro) costs $2.75.
A monthly MetroCard costs $121.

You should come to Luxembourg. We do not have a subway, but if we would have one, it would be for free... 😄
BTW: Metro is a protected tradename. https://www.theverge.com/2012/8/2/3215039/microsoft-metro-name-dispute-developers

To paraphrase Bogie, "We don't need no stinking badges."
Seriously, ignore the badge system, it's a silly system of ego massage for people to be trained to never criticise the company while spitting out boilerplate answers that are useless. The badges are worthless, it's like how sales companies give stars to various salesmen for bsing the public.

Yes, I share your sentiments about badges. They're meaningless. But actually, the "we don't need no badges..." line from Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) is by the lead bandit pretending to be police, not Bogart.
Much later it was changed to "we don't need no stinkin' badges" in Mel Brooks' western parody, Blazing Saddles (1974). I think that's the line that most people remember.
