12 emails for a thread with 5 replies

I have just had twelve emails about a thread that contains just five replies. Either something is wrong with the system or the poster had problems because they used the quick reply option. I suspect they pressed Enter to complete a paragraph but that posted what they had entered, then they edited the reply.

That issue has been reported in the New Forum Issues thread but this shows there's a seriously frustrated user out there who will soon be joined by many others.

It took me a while to figure out why I had so many emails and, without the thread title, they were related.

To adjust your email settings, you can click on your avatar icon > my settings > following and notifications > notifications

This is not a settings problem. Please reread my post. The user wants to post multiple paragraphs when they click the Quick Reply, the white button rather than the blue button. You can't do that in the new forum. Pressing Enter sends the reply. The user then went in and added a bit more and pressed Enter. The issue is not my settings, it is about being able to use the Enter key in replies.

As far as I understood some people got hundreds of emails without any reason.

This is currently major draw back I think replying is a little bit difficult.

Soft return also take posts your post directly without giving you force return.

And after posting you are not able to delete that post as well. All you can do is editing.
