Dear all,

I am currently searching to buy a master suite. I am a student in French university for master purposes. Meantime, i want to start doing my hobby as a profession. I want actually to start designing small websites for companies. In other words i want to open a private company with only one employee (me).

My question is for the versions that are available. As a student i can see that the price difference it's huge between student and a normal version and there are no crucial differences.

Therefore, what is happening with the licenses? I am still available with the student version to sell my services?

PS: is amazon a trustable source to purchase an item? why it's even cheaper that then original adobe website?

Thank you all in advance

Regards,

Maknek

Both sites below require proof of student status, per Adobe licensing
Buy at http://www.studica.com/ or https://www.academicsuperstore.com/

I do not know if a US store will be able to sell you a French education version

I also do not know if Amazon sells education versions, since special agreements are required between the vendor and Adobe

Dear John,

undortunately if you to amazon.fr and you search for adobe there are all the versions for students available.

Even at the french adobe website there is a possibility.

The license though confuse me even more. I read the links you posted and none say anything about license if you sell etc. Although, i  think adobe suites for students are like microsoft office student edition no? why should be a problem if use it for professional if i am student at the same time?

LATEST

At one time, Adobe prohibited the use of the student/educational versions of their software, for commercial purposes. At a point in the past, that restriction was removed.

There can be upgrade limitations on the educational versions, so I would check each.

With some educational programs, one does not get the full compliment of additional, Functional Content that the full versions offer. Again, I would check each.

Not sure how Adobe handles the transfer of a license with a student/educational version. If you plan on selling, check.

I would contact Adobe's Customer Service and ask very specific questions, especially as this forum is for discussing, well the Adobe Forum.

Good luck,

Hunt
