Help, Help!

Every time I try to open a pdf file the internet shuts down. And I am unable to open pdf files. This is tough because it is part of business .  The message I get is "Adobe 9.2 stop working". Is there anyone who could help me figure this out?

Depending on which version you are using, you should try the Adobe
