um, dave, the comments are not all that nice. 

The article states that having a core of users helping users will save the companies money, but the comments are negative towards that idea.    Not sure how that helps here?

Wasn't it Apple that started that whole thing, with their evangelists program. I think that initially it seeded Macs out to famous people, and got them placed in TV shows and movies. (Look at the desk in Seinfield ... there is an old Mac Plus on it).

They got computers, we don't even get a freaking t-shirt.

Hey That's not the only example. In one episode of Star Trek How Spock holding a FatMac and trying to figure what the Mouse did. Scottie the Engineer ended telling Spock about the computer and what the item in his hand was for.
