Because that is how this new forum software works... the same as if you close your browser and come back to a forum, or you have no activity for some (unknown to me) amount of time

Assuming you didn't close the browser/tab and refreshed a page you were on, my best guess is that you were inactive on the community.adobe.com site for too long, although I've yet to determine what the time out period is and no one from Adobe has weighed in on the topic. 

 

I expect they don't consider this to be a bug. It is a PITA. They did, at least, automate resigning in.

I can now confirm that you can spend at least 20 minutes idle, but not more than 30. Anyone who wants to sit around timing it for more accuracy is welcome to do so. 😄
