In the old forums, the forum name was encoded into the "To:" and "Reply-To:" fields.

This allowed to use the subject for - guess what: the subject!

In the past few hours I have already received a ton of new messages that have almost the same, meaningful subject:

[InDesign General Discussion] New message: "Re ...

[InDesign General Discussion] New message: "Re ...

[InDesign General Discussion] New message: "Bla...

[InDesign General Discussion] New message: "Do ...

[InDesign General Discussion] New message: "Re ...

[InDesign General Discussion] New message: "Pro...

Please return to the old behaviour.

They have already abbreviated some, at least in the test forum, so we know it can be done. I'd bet they will be adjusting things here also. Might take some time to let dust settle a bit.

That's the one thing I have seriously complained about. If they'd get read of the forum part before the Colons and the serial number after.  Mail readers such as Thunderbird or SeaMonket would thread correctly. If they just got rid of the serial number (or hide them someway) would help.
