My forum name changed - and I just noticed it

I have been using my middle initial in my screen name for quite some time. I remember when I first signed up in 2002 and wanted to keep it anonymous but since it would not take SLG (my initals) I added an exclamation mark. I went with SLG! for a long time. Then I started a web site using my own name so I switched to Steven L. Gotz

All of a sudden, my middle initial has disappeared from my screen name.

Anyone know why?

Your screen name comes from your AdobeID - only you can change that.

I didn't change it.

Edit: My forum profile still shows my screen name as having my middle initial.

Your screen name is "Steven L. Gotz" but the privacy setting in your account for your real name is set to 'Everyone'.

This means the forums will just default to showing your real (i.e. first + last) name instead of your screen name.

Change this setting to "Yourself" and then others will see your screen name instead of your first + last.

Thanks for solving the mystery. That never crossed my mind. I merely opened up everything thinking that it was a little silly not to give out information when the e-mail address is specifically for video related stuff anyway. I guess I went too far.
