Without having even launched the new forums, I predict a lot of unhappy users.
Problem 1 is that there will be no Newsreader access to the forums.

I see a disaster similar to the last change that had to be rolled back after several weeks of mayhem.
Do the people who make these decisions ever use these forums?
Do they even bother to talk to us users?
Do they know what a Newsreader is?
There is very little wrong with the way that the forums work now.
