I have a pdf file from 2007 that has a password protection. I dont remember the password. Is there any way i can unlock the file.

There are commercial programs available that will generate an "unencrypted" (i.e. with no password) duplicate clone of the encrypted PDF file in a matter of seconds.
On the Mac, I have used "PDFKey Pro" for years.
These are legitimate commercial programs, nothing illegal.
They do, of course, highlight the completely illusory sense of security you get from creating a supposedly secure PDF that "requires" a password.

I have not been able to find one i have tried them they all want you to purchase them. Anyone know a free one that will let you find the password?

Well, I specifically referred to them as "commercial programs" and "legitimate commercial programs."
Nowhere did I imply they were freeware.
