I'm trying to send a PDF file, which is an invoice, but my clients keep receiving it as winmail. What can I do to make sure they will receive it as PDF?

Try placing the Pdf in a zip archive and send the archive. In the letter tell them to double click on the arechive and it will open up to the PDF. Tell them you are having to do this because something between your end and there is rename the file as a winmail file instead of leaving it PDF.

If your using a Mac when you go to save file first time make sure check box in lower left corner is checked that says something about use file extension. (always use a a File extension when saving to send over email). If no three or four letter extension is added Many Mail Servers across the USE are not properly set up and and the default to whatever they are set up to. Once passed through systemand an extension is added it retains that extension even if wrong.
