I know there's a formula, but this still isn't making sense - the 'most popular' in Dreamweaver does have 92 posts, but the most recent is from April 11, and it's just recently risen to the top. I still don't see the point of this feature. I suppose it might have been read a lot lately - it's about how rubbish these forums are.

If a post appears in 'more like this' I suppose people might go and read it who wouldn't have, which makes it more 'popular' - all very incestuous.

There was an article in the Wall Street Journal today about the labeling of Popular sites, music, and things.  Research has shown that being labeled "Popular" is a self perpetuating lesson.   People just view it or listen to it as it is labeled "Popular", and that act gives it more points, making it more "Popular".

Bottom line, "Popular" means nothing and should be abolished.

Unfortunately, that opinion isn't popular enough to get noticed.
