Remove "New message" from email notification subject

Every email message from these forums has the text "New message"

inserted into the subject. That is useless since you are putting it in

every message. It might be useful if it were to tell us what actually

happened (i.e. sometimes say "New thread" or "New poll", but even then I

would say that is pretty obvious when the disastrous threading is fixed

by introducing proper References and In-Reply-To headers in the email

notifications), but in the current incarnation it is a waste of screen

space.

Please remove that string from the email subject.

I totaly agre with Jochem,

And ther is more than that issue with the email notifications

Lets take an eksample:

[GoLive General Discussion] New message: "Re: How to get new form to work properly?" [1aHIPA-9Nd-7RXO]

1. The new massage makes no sens... (Can i also get a Old message )

It makes the massage subject so long that almost all subject is cut of even at fullscren window, makeing the subject harder to read /understand

Many discussions/question subjects are themself long

2. [1aHIPA-9Nd-7RXO] ??? .. what do i need that for ?? .. its not only makes no sens, its also make the use of "organize by tread" imposible, since all treads are difrent (im using the mac OSX mail)  with meens that insted of expandable collections of treads, that gives a better overveiw, i now have MANY single mails to manualy go true and sort.

3. [GoLive General Discussion] ?? .. for me that is not as importent as the subject ... I think it woud be better having this part at the end, making the subject easyer to read...

Pleas adobe .. make the email notifaction somthing like this:

"Re: How to get new form to work properly?" [GoLive General Discussion]

As for why do you need number 2? To screw up threading email/newsreaders so that a common subject can not be threading it renders each thread of subject as a unique item. Obvious the Jive talking folks have never used a newsreader nor an email Client.
