Why do no links from search engines result in seeing the actual forum page?

For example a forum page I wanted to look at which I found through a search on google returned this url,

https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2217477

but when clicking on the link I am redirected to

https://community.adobe.com/

I've tried adding /thread/2217477 to the end but it doesn't work. No one can find anything from search engines linking to your forums.

Adobe switched forum software a couple of weeks ago.  And this is very much a work in progress.  Search engines haven't caught up to new URLs yet.   And some info hasn't ported over yet.  Stay tuned for further developments...

It could be an old thread or one in the "dead zone" that didn't get carried over to this new forum host.

This is a new forum... anything before 2016 is no longer available

Hi John, of course the stuff since 2016 has been ported to the new forum too, so old links are likely broken

For the time being, you can view old threads this way from a google search:
click the dropdown from the picture (located at the end of the green line showing the link) and select "Cached".

I used Chrome but it also shows up in Edge. It only shows up for links that may have come up in a previous google search. The Wayback machine has captured some old forum posts:

Unfortunately I didn't find your link, sorry mate.
