I have been going nuts trying to figure out why this iMac with a 660m will not allow me to use the accelerated graphics with Adobe Pr or Ae. Then I saw that I need a little more vram than the 512 that I have. I have a PC that has 3GB dedicated but I want to use my imac. Any way at all without ripping this 27 inch screen off or getting a new mortgage..... I mean mac!!!!!

Would it make a difference if I installed the Pr Pro CS6?? Would I still have a issue with choppy rendering and not be able to access my GPU card without having at least 1GB or VRAM???

It doesn't make any difference. Even with Windows, Premiere Pro CS6 still requires a minimum of 765 MB of free, unused VRAM just to even enable GPU acceleration at all. Thus, you still need 1GB or more VRAM for CS6 on a Mac.
