I am getting a bit bamboozeled by all the new GPU technologies from NVIDIA: Pascal, Turing, Ray tracing, RTX, GTX. I just want a graphics card that will help Lightroom and Photoshop perform to the best of their abilities. I’m fortunate that I could afford a $400 card if that really improved performance, but I’m not sure that’s necessary, or is it? I notice that Puget Systems used to use the GTX 1060 as their base card, but now are using the RTX 2060 - which is a more expensive card.
Can anyone shed some light on this subject for me?
