Hi everyone,

So few months ago I was asking about one laptop and I never bought it. Now I wanted to buy new Razer 2018, but then we decided to buy new flat, so at the moment Im out of options to go for something $2000+ and Im searching for something budget just for few months, since my old macbook is right about to die. Im editing on it with 1 core working @ 1.2 ghz, no use of geeforce 650M at all (macbook is broken, no battery recognized and so on..).

Im in search for something between $500-$800 (or I can say 500-800€). I have no idea what to looking for in that price range, thats why Im asking here for some advices.

My videos are all recorded and edited in 1080p, if there is some 4k video, Im always downscale it to 1080p.

Cheers,

Denis

It's not likely you will find something in that price range unless you happen to find a great deal on  a used one.

Have you looked into leasing or renting one?

How about not latest models?

I found HP Omen with i5 (7300HQ), 8GB of ram and GTX 1050 4GB for 700€. I could upgrade RAM, specially if its same model as from my 2012 macbook, but not so sure about processor?

Long time, but to not open new thread. To answer to Peru Bob : my content is mainly 4k videos for social media (focused on youtube).

Yesterday I found one (maybe) interesting laptop. i7 8750H (2.2GHz/4.1GHz), GTX 1060 (6GB, 1280 CUDA), 16GB RAM (DDR4, 2666 MHz) and Samsung PM981 m.2 SSD, Full HD display for $1150. Color accuracy isn't top ( 57% Adobe RGB, 87% sRGB), but I would connect it to external 4k 60Hz monitor. The only thingtI am worried at the moment is, could this handle Premiere/after effects? I know it will not be lightning fast, but from what I tested on Zenbook pro 2018 (i7, gtx 1050, 16gb ram, 4k touch display), I was more then satisfied (it was only test device) + it costs double as this one I wrote specs about.
