Hi everyone,

First of all, excuse my english, i'll try my best.

Following my precedent post, im currently on the process of buying a new system that could support 4k editing in multicam (3) sessions in a smooth way - amongs other things.

So, after scratching right and left, i came with this setup which i think could do the job with the kind of budget i'm on, but im still a newb when it comes to the core of specs lingo. Could you fellow editors please give me your input regarding the cons and pros of the hardware i chose to go with :

Motherboard : MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon AC LGA1115 ATX intel Z390 4xd

Processor : Intel 9th Gen Core i9-9900KF 3.6GHz LGA1151 95W 8C/16t

Cooler : Fractal design  Celsius S36 Liquid CPU cooler

RAM : Corsair Vengeance LPX Black DDR4 3200MHz 64GB Kit (2x32GB)

Graphic Card : MSI GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER GAMING X 8GB GDDR6 PCle 3.0 x 16 1

SSD1: Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 500GB NVMe PCle 3.0 x 4 80 mm SSD

SSD2: Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 2TB NVMe PCle 3.0 x 4 80 mm SSD

Windows 10 pro 64 bit - DVD - OEM

Again, any input is welcome, i will gladly appreciate any informed advice.

THANK YOU!!!

Seems like a winner!

Make sure your power supply matches the needs of your system.

I have built my 4K system about 2 years ago and yours surpasses that in many regards. Please bear in mind that not all 4K videostreams are created equal. You are much more likely to run into performance issues if the codec of your sources is h.265 or some other codec that relies heavily on the performance of the system to properly and timely decode.

Heard that!

I tend to play it safe codec wise, i'll keep that in mind.

As for the power supply, i'll probably go with EVGA Supernova 850 G5 80 Plus Gold Fully Modular.

Thanx a lot for your input!!
