New Here ,
Feb 22, 2018 Feb 22, 2018

So basically, every time I launch or playback a video in premiere or after effects my pc bluescreens. The blue screen error is DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations to help me fix this problem? Thanks!

Heres some diagnostic info for the problem. System specs:

i9 7900x overclocked to 4.6ghz on all 10 cores  ---- note, its stable and i have the issue on default clock speed.

2x Nvidia GeForce Titan Xp --- august driver cuz the new ones don't like java for some reason lol

2x Samsung 960 Pro 2tb SSD

8x 16 G.skill something ram --- tried swapping all dim slots & changing out ram.

Asus x299 Motherboard ---- tried to reset bios

OS: Windows 10 Build: 1709 (OS Build 16299.192)

Side notes: I have reinstalled windows. I have also tried earlier graphics drivers, I tried swapping my GPU's and ram. No luck.

I would really appreciate it if someone helped me, Thanks!

Have you tried removing one GPU?  Maybe then updating the driver for the single GPU might be a better match

Here is an old google of DPC Watchdog Violation:

"One of the most common is an SSD drive that has old firmware not supported by Windows 8. Another likely cause is an outdated driver for one of your hardware components. For example, if your sound card driver does not support Windows 8, simply plugging in a set of headphones could produce a DPC Watchdog Violation error.Mar 7, 2013"

I have submittal of the PPBM with fantastic results from a i7-7900X with a pair of Titan X (early pascal version) that apparently is working well,  They were using nVidia Driver version 23.21.13.8810

Hey,

I hope this finds you. I am experiencing the same error now with my build, which also has the 7900x. I am seeing alot of different builds having the same error but the CPU seems to be the common denominator. Did you ever find a fix? My system will crash if I just put it under any multitask.

Please help.
