Hi first post and new to video editing .

I'm putting together a system for an Xmas present and it will only be for video editing.

Specs so far are listed below and I'm now purchasing the last piece The GPU.

Can you please recommend a GPU that won't break the budget?

User will be a novice and I'm leaning towards buying a used GPU like GTX 1060?

Thanks in advance .

Also Adobe premiere pro is being used.

I'm sure they will venture into after effects later on.

With that processor , you should have 64 GB RAM or the processor may bottleneck.

I think this system looks fine, my general recommendation for memory is 2-4 GB / core and that's where you are. I don't predict you'll bottleneck anything but the GPU.

Used GPUs are a very cost effective way to go, but if you can spring for an RTX 2060 you'll be happier.

Edit: Ebay has some good prices on GTX 1080s
