Hello guys,

I have 3 internal hard drives :

- 2 Samsung 980 PRO NVMe M.2 PCIe 4.0 (500Go each)

- 1 Samsung SSD 870 EVO (1Tb)

My OS and programs are installed on the first 980 pro, my media files (videos and images) and projects are stored on the 870 evo. And my cache folder is located on the second 980 pro.
Does that sound good to you guys in terms of performance or chould I change something ?

And what about scratch files ? Should I leave them on the same SSD as the media files (870 evo) or locate them on the hard drive containing the cache folder (second 980 pro) ?

Btw I'm also trying to learn After Effects so I guess same rules would apply ?

My system is AMD 5900x cpu, NVidia RTX 3070 gpu & 64go Ram.

Thx a lot for your advices and wish you all a nice day !

I have a similar setup on my end. I think it's a good setup.

Software and OS on NVME #1

Cache, etc. on NVME #2 (and sometimes I do route video previews here as well, sometimes to the media drive.)

Media on the third storage option (it varies from external HDD, to NAS, etc.)
