Hi all, I was wondering if my pc will be able to run Premiere Pro CC if it has an intel 6 core I7 5820k as the system requirements page states that it must be 6th gen or newer. I am pretty new to pc builds /terminology. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a 4 year old i7-4930k and the program runs OK for me... editing 1280x720 from a Canon SX510... I do NOT edit 4k so your performance may be different if you edit 4k

I have the i7-5820k and it works great with premiere and with 4k media. You'll need a good GPU as well. I have the GTX 970.

Ok, thank you! Out of curiosity, do you know why the requirements state that it must be sixth generation?
