interfaceing with an H4n recorder as a mic

I am trying to use an H4n Pro recorder as a mic for radio production I have done the setup  on the device and have the audio hardware preferences set but it still won't record I had it doing it once but it stopped & adobe tech support has bailed on me

now it keeps telling me I have an open and running program and won't let me click out of the program
