For which programs?
For Premiere Pro video editing only one hard drive is not going to be very fast

In addition to what John stated, your laptop is deficient in other areas:
1) That i7-6600U CPU is not a quad-core CPU at all - but only a dual-core CPU. No dual-core CPU, even with hyperthreading, will perform as fast in properly multithreaded apps as even a mediocre true quad-core CPU without hyperthreading of the same CPU generation. I proved that in my desktop Skylake benchmark testing with Premiere Pro CC (which utilizes at least four threads) a 3.7 GHz dual-core hyperthreadable i3-6100 still performed significantly slower than a 3.2 GHz (turbo-boosted) quad-core but non-hyperthreadable i5-6500.
2) 8GB total of RAM is not quite enough for most Premiere CC apps these days. You need at least 16GB, preferably 32GB, of RAM for many of these apps.
In other words, your laptop will actually get choked quite a bit by some of the apps that you're planning to run.
